Project description (short): Kaylee's mother passed away when she was a child and, her grandmother is her one of her only links to learn about her mother. One evening, Kaylee decides to spend time with her boyfriend after she and her grandmother were to spend time together, leading to an argument and hateful words. Kaylee learns later that while her grandmother was headed home, she was struck and killed by a drunk driver. Devastated by the news, Kaylee regrets her actions and is wishes for anything to change the past and make amends. Kaylee's friend, Talina, might just have a solution...

[KAYLEE] [GENDER: FEMALE] [Emancipated or legal 18 or older PERFORMS/CAN APPEAR AS AGE: 15-18 YEARS OLD] Prep/nerd mix, extrovert, on the cheer squad, friend to all, open minded, slightly selfish. Very close relationship with her grandmother who tells her about how her mother was. Regrets a dispute with her grandmother which she felt led to the accident that caused her grandmother's death. Has a boyfriend named Matt.

 

[MR JAMES WEAVER] [GENDER: MALE] [PERFORMS/CAN APPEAR AS AGE: EARLY TO MID 40S] Caring father to Kaylee, step-father to Sarah, middle to upper management businessman, married Jennifer after his first wife passed away from cancer.

 

[MRS JENNIFER WEAVER] [GENDER: FEMALE] [PERFORMS/CAN APPEAR AS AGE: LATE 30S TO EARLY 40S] Step-mother to Kaylee, mother to Sarah, left Sarah's father due to it being an abusive relationship. Been married to James Weaver approximately 1½ years.

[TALINA] [GENDER: FEMALE] [Emancipated or legal 18 or older PERFORMS/CAN APPEAR AS AGE: 15-18 YEARS OLD ] Goth/emo/gypsy mix, daughter of a psychic, hints of Eastern European - Mediterranean decent, gets into trouble often due to being seen as the “tough girl” or rebellious type

 

[ABBY] [GENDER: FEMALE] [Emancipated or legal 18 or older PERFORMS/CAN APPEAR AS AGE: 15-18 YEARS OLD ] Mostly introverted, happy to be friends with Kaylee, doesn't much care for Talina but tolerates her. Would do anything to be popular, promiscuous. Partial nudity is required for feature only, not the short.

 

[DANIEL] [GENDER: MALE] [PERFORMS/CAN APPEAR AS AGE: 50s to 70s ] A gruff voice that can speak with a Hispanic accent. Slender but rugged build.

 

[FATHER HOLLIS] [GENDER: MALE] [PERFORMS/CAN APPEAR AS AGE: LATE 50S TO 70S ] Gives eulogy for the service of Grams. 

 

[GRAMS – DIANE BROOKS] [GENDER: FEMALE] [PERFORMS/CAN APPEAR AS AGE: MID 60S-MID 70S ] Typical modern grandmother look. Has a close relationship with Kaylee telling her about her mother, who passed away when Kaylee was 2 years old.

Feature film to follow and acting talent would need to be available pending investor funding. Feature film will be deferred payment.
